Why cake smash sessions?
Imagine this… a baby + a cake + an adorable outfit + and a big mess = Cuteness overload ! A baby’s first birthday is a great celebration for everyone and having a cake smash makes it so much fun for them too.

When to book?
These sessions can be booked at any time, however it is advised to book approximately 1-2 months in advance to ensure my availability for you as well as grant enough time to ensure that I have all of the props available to meet your color scheme.

When should the shoot take place?
Well this depends on you. Some parents prefer to have the sessions done on the day of baby’s birthday whereas others would like the images for their parties.

How long does the session take?
I schedule an hour for these sessions, sometimes baby warms up a bit quicker and the session is then over in about 40 min..

The Cake?
My Cake smash cakes are baked 1 day prior to the session and frosted with an icing that is not made of butter/margarine. The icing is a lot less sweet and baby’s love it. As part of your package you have an option of either a giant cupcake or a standard cake. They are both decorated to match your desired color scheme. What’s left over of the cake you are also welcome to take home.

Props and outfit?
When booking your cake smash session you and I will discuss color schemes that you have in mind and I how I can meet your requirements for you. I have a bunch of outfits in studio that can be used for these sessions, however if you would like something more specific, I have a list of excellent, very well trusted vendors that are able to make you a special outfit for your account. I do supply pompoms, however balloons will need to be supplied by you if you would like balloons.

Alergies ?
If baby has any alergies to cake ingredients please do let us know, i have an amazing baker who is always capable of helping. An alternative to cake though can be spaghetti, Its also just as fun and messy as a cake. Nonetheless, please let me know what your preferences are and I will be happy to accomodate you !

When will i get my final images?
After each session I will always post a “sneak peek” of your session in a day or 2. Edits will then take 2-4 weeks to complete. You will then receive an online gallery with all of the images that will be on your disk whereby you will be able to choose your prints for your final package
